The Search and Rescue Volunteer Association of Canada (SARVAC) is a registered not-for-profit and educational organization that supports, coordinates, develops, informs, promotes and implements CSA-approved search and rescue emergency response with the underlying principle of saving lives.

GSAR SARVAC (Ground Search and Rescue Volunteer Association of Canada) is a non-profit organization that represents ground search and rescue volunteers across Canada.
SARVAC works to promote public awareness of search and rescue, provide support and training to search and rescue volunteers, and advocate for the recognition and support of search and rescue efforts at the national level.

The Humanitarian Workforce (HWF) is a national network of humanitarian organizations, volunteers, and professionals who work to respond to emergencies and provide aid to communities affected by disasters, or other emergencies. The organization is dedicated to promoting collaboration and cooperation between different actors in the humanitarian sector, and to developing and sharing best practices and standards for humanitarian response.
Together, GSAR SARVAC – Humanitarian Workforce bring together a wealth of knowledge, experience, and expertise in search and rescue and humanitarian response. Through collaboration, SARVAC – HWF provide training and support to volunteers and professionals working in these fields, and to promote greater awareness and recognition of the important work that they do.
